  1. Continuing to reflect on what I learned from Team Lean is that I am not working out nearly hard enough. Going to the different classes made me realize I really need to push myself more than I have. I'm working on it.

  2. Hey! I have done good this week. I am looking forward to weighing in tomorrow. If I haven't lost, I am really going to be surprised and DISAPPOINTED!

  3. I find it hard to look forward to weigh-ins, because no matter how hard i work at loosing weight, it never seems to be enough and the scale never reflects what i thought i should have lost. :(

    1. I did lose, but not as much as I thought I might. Maybe its getting harder the "leaner" we are becoming?? I have slacked off on the water too so maybe thats it??

    3. Well my weigh in did not go as well as i had hoped either. But you are right the smaller we get, the more difficult it becomes to shed the pounds. Best wishes for next week.

    4. There's always next week. I have been eating everything in sight for the past 24 hrs. so today I found myself trying to rationalize eating some ice cream by saying well I've already blown it. Fortunately I heard some advice in my head saying "Its OK to blow it just stop and start eating right again." So I did manage to say no to the ice cream and eat reasonably tonight. Probably won't be a very good weigh-in this week. Hope your is better!

  7. Sheila I think team lean is wearing you out as much as the competitors. The last line of your email goes something like this "The team lean results last week and the team lean essay 'What has team lean done for you?'" Girl, get some rest and plan on pampering yourself after March 29. :) :)

    1. Hey I was with Shelia (at the end of the day) when she was sending that out. There were three conversations going on at once and several people in and out. Guess it showed in the email.

  9. I just went to a great restaurant near Chateau Elan called the Houndstooth Grill. I liked it alot. My daughter and I often share a meal which works well for us. we ordered the stuffed chickes breast filled with herbed cream cheese and smoked ham. It was scrumptious. We ordered green beans for the 3-grain rice and it came with mixed veggies which were excellent. Sharing was definitely a good idea. They brought it on separate plates (a first for me!) which was very nice. We were each very full and even left some veggies.

    1. I have not tried any specific diet ie: weight watcher, jenny craig, etc., Just exercise and counting calories. But I think this week i will try counting points. Although, i look at how many points i can have for the day, then i look at how many points are attached to the foods i normally eat and my calorie counting is basically equivalent to the points i would be allowed for the day(weight watcher system. So why bother with a new system, maybe because i feel stuck. :) It may be what i need to get past my WALL. Good luck this week.

    2. Thats interesting to hear that counting points and counting calories seemed similar to you. I have just started eating "healthy" and cutting back on sugar, white stuff, fried, alcohol and artificial sweetner. Maintenance is probably still going to be my biggest challenge! Hope your week goes well!

    3. Well I was motivated to learn something new like counting points. I/ve been looking at calories for so many years, it just makes more sense to me to stick to something familiar. Plus, I can calculate calories out vs calories in much better than points in vs calories out. Know what I mean. I mean the bottom line is to loose weight one must loose more calories than taking in. Of course there are many factors to consider when being able to burn calories IE ;Chronic illness like diabetes and hypothroidism.. I am very grateful to my God that I have been blessed not to have these condititons. I wish the best of luck to all. Go team leam

  10. I hope everyone did well this week. My hotmail account must be a day behind on the mail I get, because I don"t get the results till Saturday. So I don't know how everyone did. I know that even though I busted my behind, the scale didn/t show it. Well, my workout is done for one more day. GO TEAM LEAN.

    2. Pat,
I hate to hear you feel so bad, I know that feeling. That feeling is something that holds us back. Try to find your motivation again. I read that you have new grandbaby. Congradulations. It is a great thing to want to be fit and healthy for your grandchildren. GO PAT!

  15. Hope everyone did well this week. I didn't count points, but did switch up my workouts. Seemed to work for the week. Maybe I'll try something different next week. It is scary to try new things, but when the old isn/t working, what can you lose? GO TEAM LEAN!

  16. Week to week results are an excellent motivator. I remember when I did the first team lean. You had no idea how you were doing until the end. Not much motivation for me anyway, because the weeks that I did poorly, I felt everyone else was doing great. So it was hard to stay on track. GO TEAM LEAN

  22. I just recieved the email that the walk at Fort Yargo has been canceled today due to pollen count. :( Hopefully the count will go down by next week. it is bad for people who suffer from allergies. Every other pt is complaining of allergic type symptoms. There was a horticulturist on the news this am that reported that the length of the pollen season may be shorter. Yeahhhh! Go team lean!

  23. I'm eating alot of fruit this week. It has alot of water and helps you feel full(melon/strawberry/pineapple), but it also has lots of natural sugar.

    1. Have you tried the clementines? I feel like I have lived on them. Before Team Lean I didn't even think I liked them. Now I can't get enough.

      Delete
    2. I haven't tried clementines lately, but I have tried some wierd varieties that are really good. The best one that i have tried recently is mangeola I think is what it is called. Has the color of a grapefruit seedless and so sweet. I will have to look at those again when I go grocery shopping today to make sure that is what it is. they are really good. I also like the cuties, but they are so small. I have to eat two.

  30. I just picked up my daughter from school. Her first question " can we have soooomething besides chicken for dinner?" i have to admit that we do have chicken five days of the week. there is so much you can do with baked or boiled chicken. I did break down and bought her a personal size pizza. I only hope that she is learning good eatin habits and the pizza is only a treatmeal and not a staple.
